There will be no Digital Barn 4 this year
For reasons that will be explained in this announcement we've decided to cancel the conference and shift the date to next year giving us more time to get things in order. Here's the lowdown:

Conference refunds on the way
We'll be issuing refunds via EventBrite ASAP. Keep an eye out for them. All ticket holders will also get details on a discount for the new date when it is announced as well as a few other little extras.
So what went wrong here?
Well, a few things. We tried to have a fresher, smaller, leaner conference element to The Digital Barn this year but we focused on the wrong things and left it too late in opening up our speaker applications. Although at our peak we had 12 awesome speakers last week three of them pulled out and we just didn't have time to fill the slots.
Low ticket sales
Promotion for this years event has been lackluster leading to very disappointing ticket sales.
We would have normally sold out by now but at the moment we have less than 40 attendees, this won't cover our costs and with only 10 days to go until the event we feel we have to suck it up and cancel.
Spread too thin
Ultimately we (Kimb & Matt) blame ourselves for the cancellation, we spread ourselves too thinly by having The Digital Barn and our new conference Front End North in Manchester too close to each other.
Front End North is in 5 weeks and it isn't getting the love it deserves so we made the choice to concentrate on getting this new event right at the sacrifice of The Digital Barn.
The Digital Barn will be back
We're currently working with our friends at the DMC in Barnsley on a future date - this will likely be early in 2015 and we'll email all ticket holders with an update when we have confirmation.
One last thing, we're hiring!
